Do you provide shop drawings and submittal documentation?
Yes. Every custom door is issued with dimensioned shop drawings for architect and client sign-off before production, and we supply specification documents, cut sheets, and finish samples as your submittal process requires.
Do you work directly with the general contractor, or through our studio?
Whichever you prefer. Many architects route specification through their studio and hand execution to the GC. Others stay involved through install. We adapt to how your practice runs.
Can you build custom doors to my drawings?
Yes. Custom designs now account for roughly 20% of our wood garage door production. Send us the drawings, and we’ll respond with a feasibility review and a quote.
What wood species do you offer?
Mahogany, Clear Cedar, Douglas Fir, and Select Tight Knot Cedar, each with distinct grain character and weathering behavior. We provide physical samples of the specified species before production.
How do you prevent value engineering from compromising the specification after the project leaves our hands?
We quote the door as specified, not a substitute the GC could swap in at closeout. Our proposal documents the exact species, construction, hardware, and finish so there’s no ambiguity later, and we hold that specification through production and installation. When a budget conversation comes up, we bring it back to the architect before any material change is made — the design intent doesn’t get negotiated away on the job site.
