Clear heart cedar is one of the most beautiful species of wood and a favorite to work with at Premier. Its of the same species as western red cedar but cut from the heart of the tree so there are no knots which leaves you with a pure material to work with. Its more expensive than tight knot cedar but leaves you with a slightly more elegant look without loosing the warmth of a cedar door.
CONSTRUCTION DETAILS
6 layer construction. Rail and stile Douglas Fir frame, with BOLT THROUGH fabrication. 14 gauge heavy duty hinges, 2” or 3” struts 20 gauge support straps for added strength. This application allows for unlimited design options and a door that is built to last a lifetime.

Polyurethane insulation panels built into the frame with a Mahogany luan backing allows for an R-Value of 20+. *Optional
